This week, we’re excited to be featuring Karen Holop. Karen has been focused on product management at Infinitus. She has been making sure that our systems meet customers’ needs, our roadmap is helping move the healthcare industry forward and our teams work smoothly with each other.

‍Why did you choose to join Infinitus?

When I was looking for my next opportunity, I found myself being drawn to companies in the healthcare space. In recent years, the cost of healthcare has become such a hot button topic and was an area that I felt could make a meaningful impact in people’s lives. Throughout my career, I’ve always been interested in making software that moves organizations to think more strategically by automating away tedious, repetitive tasks.

Most importantly, I was looking to join a great team with a great culture. Specifically, one that values people over process, progress over perfection. Infinitus ticked all those boxes for me and had a great leadership team to boot.

What are you working on right now?

I am working on prioritizing and defining features ahead of our busy season in January. In the near-term, we are hyper-focused on driving efficiency in the information collection process while still maintaining the high degree of accuracy that our customers require. This means we are honing our NLP models to increase accuracy, tuning how our AI models navigate calls, and shoring up our infrastructure as we continue to scale. We are also working with payers to make sure they define policies around receiving calls from our digital assistant. In parallel, I’m looking ahead at areas we can expand into to help shape our product strategy for the coming years.

What is the favorite part about working for Infinitus?

The people! I love working on challenging problems with a great team. The vibe is so positive, it makes it fun to show up to work (even remotely).

What are 3 words to describe Infinitus?

Enthusiastic. Visionary. Amazing.

What advice do you have for prospective Infinitus candidates?

Be genuine. While it’s important to do your research and prepare, it’s also important to make sure you’re a culture fit. Take the time to think about what matters to you and make sure that the company’s values, mission and vision align with it.

What’s something you are passionate about outside of work?

Outside of work, I love to knit. I love the creativity of picking colors and textures of yarns to get the right fabric for the project. It can be as challenging and complex, or simple and soothing as I want it to be. At the end of my day, I often like to unwind with some knitting while listening to a podcast or camped out in front of the tv.
